Yes! I have a Part 107 commercial drone pilot license. I love to capture aerial shots of the venue and surrounding area, whenever the weather (and the FAA) allows me to!
Yes! My style of videography fits very well with pretty much any photographer. My gear is minimal and not intrusive, and the way I work is based upon being flexible.
*By the way – if you’re still photographer hunting, I’ve got a list of some really great ones!
Everything that I can! The ‘highlights’ video is my main focus throughout the day. Clips that don’t get used in the highlights video get compiled into an ‘Extras’ video, which is like an unedited wedding video (think camcorder). I also capture all the big moments like the ceremony and speeches (with great audio), so you can watch those back fully, without any editing.Â
So after all the post-processing, you’ll be able to watch a short minicam version, the highlights video, the Extras video, or do a deep dive into the full recordings of the speeches, ceremony etc. It’s a wide variety of videos with different vibes and purposes, which I think is really valuable over time.
Audio is so important, and it’s a big task for me throughout the day. I’ve got equipment for almost any scenario, but I typically use direct feeds into my recorders from DJ or venue soundboards/speakers, as well as my own lav mics, room mics, and some nifty voice recorders depending on the scenario. I’ve got it covered, always with fallback audio sources in case something goes awry.
I get it — I don’t love being on camera either! My approach is very natural and low-pressure, focused more on just capturing than on posing. I do step in here and there for some easy things like ‘adjust your tie’ or, ‘walk together and hold hands’. But for the most part, I try really hard to not be intrusive or make the wedding day centered around my camera. This makes it easier for everyone – the photographer, me, and you!
Sometimes, depending on where the wedding is. I’m based in the Twin Cities now, and any travel fee is usually less than $300 for venues in MN/WI.Â
It’s the only additional fee that I charge.
Everything is delivered through private YouTube playlists for convenience. I also give you a link to download the files for any of those videos in case you want to upload them to your own accounts, or have a DVD made, or anything else.Â
If you’d like to see a full playlist, just let me know, I can send one over to you!
The minicam is a comically tiny camera that sits on top of my main camera. I just hit record on the big moments (that my main camera is already getting), but its a totally different vibe. It skips frames, has low resolution, even has a time stamp in the bottom, just like an old 1990’s or 2000’s camcorder would. It’s half gimmicky and half perfection, and also the favorite camera that I own! I send out that video within a week of the wedding, as a preview.
Here’s a short example:
Footage that didn’t quite fit into the highlights that I don’t want to go to waste. Think of it like a camcorder that captured a bunch of chronological, unedited moments (with the original audio) from throughout the day. It’s a totally unpolished, and unique way to look back on your wedding day. I never publicly share this footage because it is very unfiltered, and usually includes a lot of ‘funny’ moments.. you get the picture.
Here’s a short, edited down example:
I’m so stoked to offer a Home-Video Package beginning in 2026! Think of it as hiring a professional camcorder operator for your wedding day. I simply roll through the day, hitting record on as many real moments as I possibly can. I deliver it all as one long, continuous video with little to no editing. There is no cinematic music, no cuts, and no slow motion.
This style is not for everyone, and definitely is an outlier in today’s wedding world. But it’s perfect if you want to preserve all the little candid, extended, and “in-between” moments, such as:
- Longer, more natural guest interactions (while not being obtrusive!)
- Slow zoom-ins of wedding party shenanigans
- Quiet, peaceful ambience throughout the dayÂ
- Guests speaking directly to the camera (congratulations, marriage advice, funny stories, etc.)
- Full ceremony, speeches etc are still recorded (with audio ofc)!
I’ve only done one of these so far – and the result was so incredibly satisfying, and fun!! So, if you’d like a vintage home-video of your wedding day, I’d be thrilled to talk about it with you 🙂
